Ostrich Farm

I LOVE eating good food.

In the not-so-distant future, I’m going to share a list of my top 10 favorite spots in Los Angeles — it’s juuust about there. For tonight, I’m going to give a teaser and focus on one place: Ostrich Farm in Echo Park.

I went for the first time this weekend, and instantly fell in love. Part of me was hoping perfectly fluffy baby ostriches would be running around when I walked in, but the more I thought about a bird hanging out with my food, the less I liked the idea. The atmosphere was calm, with the last few brunchers popping in for a quick bite.

Everything on the menu looked delicious, but my friend Lindsay and I went for a sweet-savory combo and shared the Lemon Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes and the Lentil Bowl, topped with all kinds of amazing. Both dishes far exceeded our tastebuds’ expectations.

Take a peek at our adventure, but beware if you’re looking at this hungry — you will have major food envy.

For now I must be going. Talk soon, friends.
